The next two pic posts show a little from Christmas, Kristi's Mom's Birthday and Judson's Birthday.
Ricky is getting over double ear infection number 3 or 4 and sounded croupish again but is starting to feel a lot better now...still dealing with a cough and runny nose, but he is back to his normal self now. We are still trying to work on his vocabulary...with the ear infections, he is going slow at it right now, but we are not too worried yet. He still loves balls, trucks, and cars. He really does not have anything to do with TV - hopefully it will stay that way and the little booger will stay active and not veg infront of the TV.
We have finally hung things on the walls and our downstairs is finally coming together. We have a rug now in the living room so Nef can hang out with us more - she gets nervous on the hardwoods and always goes upstairs. Plus, when toys go flying or just drop out of little hands, it is much easier on the floor and the ears when it hits a rug!!
We got an office desk to put in the bonus room so now we have a place to "work" whenever Ricky allows Kristi to do household stuff and it gives me a place in the mornings before anyone else wakes up or at night after everyone is in bed to do some work.
Nana and Pop came down for the weekend of my birthday and we laid flooring in the attic to add some storage space. Now we can clean out the bonus and room and get it the way we want it.
Mimi and Didi (Pop Pop's new name) are getting a new dining room set and have offered their old one to us until we find one. It looks nice in our dining room and now we have more storage for kitchen items that we lost in the new house versus the old house...plus it is nice not to have an empty room just sitting there. Now we only have a formal living room/sitting room to fill up.
Kristi went to her first MOPS meeting last week and we are still looking for a church home. That is our biggest prayer request right now is we find a church that we can get plugged in to and utilize our talents and gifts to make a contribution.
Work is good for me, good ol' bank holidays have been spaced out nicely so far in 2008 giving me much needed rest. Our year end reviews occur through Feb and March so I am putting in a lot of hours getting those done while trying to keep up with my normal responsibilities. And, the honeymoon is over and the "getting to know" period with my employees is over and it is time to really get down to business.
